Hope Foundation is once again organising its annual Malaria Week Berlin, a dedicated period of activities focused on raising awareness, promoting prevention, and mobilising support in the fight against malaria.
This year’s program combines both local and international impact. In Bertoua, Cameroon, the foundation will organise a sensitisation and screening campaign, targeting mothers and children—those most vulnerable to malaria. Participants will be screened, receive education on prevention methods, and benefit from the distribution of insecticide-treated mosquito nets. Individuals diagnosed during the campaign will be referred to nearby health facilities for appropriate treatment.
At the same time, activities in Germany will include awareness campaigns and the annual Malarathon charity run, bringing together communities in solidarity against the disease.
“We are happy to be able to work with communities this year in Bertoua, especially targeting mothers through screening and mosquito net distribution exercises,” — Founder, Hope Foundation
Malaria Week continues to serve as a powerful platform to connect action, awareness, and community engagement across borders.
Together, we can prevent malaria and save lives.
