A Fair Champions Holiday Programme: Rethinking Fashion – Creatively, Globally and Sustainably
What happens to our clothes when we no longer wear them? How are our purchasing decisions connected to people and the environment in other parts of the
world? And how can we transform old materials into something new and useful?
Upcycling Heroes is a four-day holiday programme for children and young people aged 10 to 14 years, designed to explore fashion, sustainability, creativity,
and global responsibility. Through educational visits, interactive workshops, and hands-on upcycling activities, participants discover the journey of clothing, the
impact of the textile industry, and how simple everyday choices can contribute to a more sustainable future.
The programme encourages young people to think critically about consumption, value resources differently, and develop creative solutions that turn waste into
opportunity. Through learning, creativity, and teamwork, participants discover that they can play an active role in building a fairer and more sustainable world.
Upcycling Heroes combines global learning, sustainability education, and creativity in a unique and engaging way. The programme helps children understand the environmental and social impact of fashion while empowering them to become more conscious consumers.
