We stay tuned in our commitment against malaria! Join us!
05. April 2019
We welcome you to our 2019 Edition of „Malaria Week Berlin“!
It’s that time again: April 25 is World Malaria Day and there is much to do: the disease is preventable and yet the number of malaria cases has been rising again since 2016 (World Malaria Report 2018).
We are not satisfied with this and organising the Malaria Week Berlin again this year, in order to raise awareness of the situation and to support the population in Cameroon with simple but effective measures.
In Berlin, two charity events for dance and running enthusiasts take place: Under the motto "Techno against Malaria", Burg Schnabel opens its doors on 25 April (#WorldmalariaDay) for the party
Elektrokitos. More information about the party you will find
here.
The
Malarathon on April 28 at the Tempelhofer Feld, on the other hand, offers the opportunity to test your own endurance at 3, 5 or 10km. But even for the little ones there is the chance to gain first running experiences - the distance of the Bambini run is 500m. All children under 10 years run all routes for free. Further information about the race can be found
here.
You can register here.
The proceeds of both events will benefit the
Malaria Free Cameroon project. This includes information campaigns on malaria and the free distribution of mosquito nets to people in vulnerable areas.
We are happy to invite all those interested to make a contribution to a malaria-free Cameroon with their visit to the Malaria Week Berlin 2019!
