Rafael Lo (Austria): July-August 2011

Rafael L. participated with 11 other volunteers coming from France, Poland and Austria in a number of community projects.
These projects took place in 2 villages: Bali Nyonga and Lomie.
In Bali Nyonga, Ralael and the others taught in a holiday schools for 2 weeks to children between the ages of 02-14 years old.
Parallel to the holiday school was a football tournament project called Football 4 Life which is organised to sensitise youths of the area about the problems of drugs, HIV-AIDS and Malaria.
After Bali the volunteers took the long trip to Lomie where they worked on a water point, assisted in the implementation of another football tournament organised by the local council but using the same methods as in Football 4 Life. The highlight of their stay in Lomie was the international football encounter between the volunteers and the Baka Pygmies and the volunteer visit to the pygmies where a night was spent with them.

I was in Cameroon for 3 and half weeks. With a couple of friends I supported the Football4Life project. It was an unique experience. We crossed 2000 km through Cameroon where we saw beautiful places, met awesome people and most of them became close friends to me. I glad to spent my time there and I'll never forget this time: Raf L
