The Fourth Annual 'Malarathon' is just around the corner!
Created in 2010 by the Hope Foundation, as part of the 'Malaria Free Cameroon' campaign, the Malarathon spreads information and awareness to raise support and find solutions in the fight against Malaria in Cameroon. This year's focus is the eastern Cameroonian city of Bertoua and its surrounding villages.
Every 30 seconds, a child in Africa dies from malaria. In fact, by the time you finish reading this text, 3-4 children will have died from malaria. Malaria is preventable and treatable, think and take action, that this this blight might be eradicated.
With your 10 Euro donation in joining the Malarathon, you buy one mosquito net, inform a family in the use of the net, and protect the family for 4 years.
All are welcome at the Malarathon, companies, schools, and individuals are encouraged to join in the fight against malaria!
The Malarathon will take place at the Tempelhofer Airport on the 26th of April, 2015.
Runners can choose from one distances: 3 km, 5km or 10 km.
