Computer Sensitisation Project

Hope Foundation has finally launched its ICT project. We are presently in possession of three P III computers which we have been using to train youths, women and students in rural areas and schools. This initial phase of the project has so far been very successfully where within just some months we have been able to mobilise many students and youths in a number of schools to sensitise them on use of internet and

The Hope Foundation ICT project which will be undertaken primarily in 4 (four) provinces of Cameroon: East, Littoral, South West and North West for the pilot phase, shall eventually be extended to the rest of the provinces once there is added financial resources gained from funding and donations.

This ICT project shall entails support to private and government schools with the supply for computers and training material and the opening of special internet and training computer centers in a number of local areas.

Hope Foundation shall need an annual operating budget and material such as computers, printers and training material in order to implement this project in its four chosen regions for the moment.

Second hand local private users from time to time donate used computers while we still expect for big support from external donors, foundations and companies worldwide.

The project is schedule to be implemented over a period of two years (24 months) and in order to run this project sustainably, we intend to generate small money by training professionals and Internet starters, run mini cyber café for a small fee, and to repair and install computers at very cheap rate to rural and local users by our visiting volunteer specialists. Funds collected from the above mentioned schemes shall enable us maintain the computers, train personnel, travel and electricity cost, customs duties for computers,

We are presently working hard to get an initial push to start with this salient project.
