Water and Sanitation

Hope Foundation is presently working on some water installations in the East of Cameroon. This consist of building, renovating and renewing a number of water points around the province which happens to be the poorest part of Cameroon, lacking a number of basic infrastructures.

Last year 2007 was the initial start project where a water point which was build by the German colonial masters almost 100 years ago was renewed. This year, Hope Foundation has identified two other water points which shall be renewed as the year runs through.

Work for 2008 running up to 2009 shall consist of renewing these water points by rebuilding broken and old walls, replacing old rusted pipes and cleaning the water beds and most importantly the building of new pumping water systems where there is great need.
